The Frequencer is a key part of COVID-19 preparedness
COVID-19 patients suffering from acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and requiring invasive ventilation are prone to increase mucus retention. Autopsies in China showed the patients died with their lungs filled with mucus. The Frequencer is the only airway clearance solution that can be used on intubated patients.
The Frequencer® provides airway clearance therapy and promotes bronchial drainage by inducing vibration in the chest walls. This device is intended to be a component of chest physiotherapy by providing a convenient method of external thorax manipulation. Hospitals are already acquainted with ultrasound and scanners, which operate at a very high frequency, the Frequencer® generates low frequency within the range of 20-65Hz and offers an adjustable intensity based on the patient’s condition. Sound used at low and very low frequencies offers a completely new range of specific and targeted treatment possibilities in airway clearance.
- Cystic Fibrosis
- Chronic Bronchitis
- Ciliary dyskinesia syndrome
- Muscular dystrophy
- Neuromuscular degenerative disorders
- Post-operative atelectasis
- Thoracic wall defects
A digitally controlled acoustic airway clearance device
The Frequencer® provides airway clearance therapy and promotes bronchial drainage by inducing vibration in the chest walls. The Frequencer® provides a gentler, less painful form of therapy from the traditional “clapping” method of postural drainage therapy, allowing it to be used on patients who cannot be treated by clapping.
